The Tiny Footprints Guild, the journey of two mothers
I was lucky enough to meet two extremely strong local mothers who have given birth to preemies, one who eventually took her daughter home, one whose son became an Angel. These two amazing women started a local guild, the Tiny Footprints Guild in support of the Global Alliance to Prevent Prematurity and Stillbirth. I’m proud to be able to share their story. view full post »

If any of you are like me, it’s terrifying enough when you are in the NICU, but I cannot fathom having lost my son. view full post »

Special Needs? No… just special.
I went to a first birthday party this weekend, I’ve been going to a lot of first birthdays lately. There were approximately 22 new babies born in a 6 month window amongst my local friends from OCT 09 – April 10, some were friends I made in the NICU, others I met on BabyCenter birth boards and we became friends in person, others I’ve known for awhile and we all just happened to get pregnant around […]

It’s a Preemie Thing launches blog

What I have realized is that no matter how long you’ve been in the NICU, there is now a bond amongst preemie parents that so many others don’t […]

My crazy pregnancy…
So many of my friends THINK about getting pregnant and next thing you know, they are. I grew up in a small Texas town where I thought I would graduate college at 21, be married by 23 and hopefully be through with having children by the age of 26…because kids […]
