  • My Preemie triplets Benjamin, Blake and Brooklynn were born at 33 weeks 5 days and were 4.11, 4.5 & 3.12. They spent 9, 15 & 27 days in the NICU, we were blessed with short stays which we are very grateful for. The NICU is a scary place to be but you also meet great people! We met a set of twins born just a few days after our triplets and we are now great friends and our babies are so close in age and love eachother! I love the Baby A shirts, I need A, B, & C!!!

  • I sent a message out to all my FB friends about your new blog and also your FB page! I linked to your FB page also but this is what I wrote….

“Hey Momma’s of Preemies….. Check out the Awesome new Blog and Giveaways that It’s a Preemie Thing has going on! As we all know being a Preemie and spending time in the NICU is a difficult thing to do no matter how long your stay. here you can chat with other mom’s that have been through the same thing! ♥

  • Fan our FB page at It’s a Preemie Thing and let me know how you found us.= Fanned; I found you when searching for items for my NICU grads.

Tell us a little about your preemie and which of onesies or Parent/NICU Staff shirts you’d like by checking out https://www.itsapreemiething.com/store/
My B/G twin preemies were born at 28 weeks. We were in the NICU for 3 months. They are 8 months now and doing great! I like the Baby A and Baby B shirts!

  • My little man, Ausitn, was born 10/25/10 at 27 weeks. Now he’s been home about a month and he still doesn’t have a NICU grad shirt, so that is what I’d get him with the gift cert… if fact I’d probably get two in different sizes so he can continue to wear one as he grows.

  • All ready a fan and sending more AZ preemie moms your way. Our twins
Were born at 29 weeks 2 days. They spent 11 weeks in the NICU. Our baby A (boy) was 3lbs 5oz and our baby B (girl) was 2lbs 9oz. I would love the baby A and baby b oneies!

  • Already a FB fan! Found you thru BBC!

I would love another NICU grad onesie b/c Afton has outgrown hers.

  • I love the outfits, probably the “NICU grad” and “I earned these rolls”. Everyone comments seeing my 34wkr, who is now 6wks, that he is so little. Family who knew him since birth think he is getting chubby. I like to call him Mr. Chubs. 🙂 he went from 4lbs 5oz to now almost 7lbs.

Love the Simple Wishes bra on your site. I own two from all the pumping at home and the NICU I did. I recommend for ANY mom who will pump. I have had carpal tunnel since a couple weeks before his birth.

  • Found you through a FB recommendation from a friend.
My daughter Isabella was born @ 33 weeks @ 3lbs 4oz. She spent 3 weeks in the NICU, and is now 9mths old, and weiging in at 15lbs 4oz! Absolutly LOVE “I’m older than I look” & “No really…I’M ONE!”

  • 1.) Been a fan for a while 🙂
2.) My daughter is 2 1/2 and I LOVE the It’s a Preemie Thing t-shirt that she has already and want one for myself 🙂

  • I’ve been a fan of your facebook page for a long time now. I think I found you through Graham’s Foundation. Our little guy is 13 months and was born at 27 weeks (2lbs. 13oz) due to an incompetent cervix. I would love an It’s a Preemie Thing adult shirt 🙂

  • Eli was born on November 23, 2009 at 29 weeks at 2 lbs 11 oz. He came home after 51 days in the NICU and has been on the go since! :O) We would most likely get a I earned these rolls and a NICU grad onesie. Our NICU reunion is on March 13 so this would be perfect!! :o)

I’ve been a fan of the FB page since before the store opened! lol. I met you through BBC (we were in the same Feb 2010 BB before we both had Nov 2009 preemies!)

I shared your blog on my FB already! I will be sure to post about it again later!

  • I’ve been a fan of It’s A Preemie Thing for a few months. Heard about it from a friend who is also a preemie parent. My son Jack was born at 28 weeks and weighed 2lbs 1oz. He was in the NICU for 112 days and is now home on oxygen support and an NG feeding tube. We visit the pediatrician tomorrow, but I’m thinking he weighs at least 11lbs now! (He’s 6 mos actual, 3 mos adjusted)
I love so many of the onesies…it’s a toss-up between the O2…it’s not just for old people or NO Really, I’m one!! I have to say, when I first saw the O2 one, I laughed out loud….and I don’t get to do that so much anymore, so I appreciated the laugh!

  • Love you fb page, been a fan for a while. I love that you put a happy light hearted spin on an otherwise scary situation!! As far a my fave onesie well where do I start!! NICU grad, I earned these rolls, do I look fat in this yet, I’m older than I look!! I really would just love to own one of everything 😉 My daughter is almost 8m 6adj, and people always give me that ‘oh poor baby’ look when they hear her story and while at the time it was scary now she’s happy healthy so why not give people a giggle with a funny shirt 🙂

  • OMG I love all of the stuff in your store~ I think I would have a hard time choosing~

  • 1. I liked your FB page last September while Peter was still in the NICU. I heard about It’s A Preemie Thing last August on BabyCenter.

    2. I’ve been eyeing the I’m Older Than I Look onesies for awhile. Onesies are not a prominent part of Peter’s wardrobe during the winter, but I’m sure Peter will be wearing little more than a diaper and a onesie next summer… we don’t have A/C. Peter was born 2 lbs 11 oz (big for his gestational age), and now weighs 13 lbs 3 oz (on the smaller end of the growth chart). He’ll probably be in 6-12 month onesies next summer, though.

  • My preemie is Adalynn and was born at 32 weeks on June 2nd, 2009 and will be 2 this year (lord grant me strength lol!!!) and i would get a new it’s a preemie thing and a nicu graduate shirt in bigger sizes! … not that she’s grown out of 12 month clothing because its still swimming on her but you know for eventually… i mean eventually she HAS to grow right? lol

  • 1) Been a fan for awhile now, ever since Kayleigh was in the NICU 🙂
    2) I really want the “I earned these rolls” onesie, Kayleigh is finally getting some rolls! 🙂 But I also love the “No, really I’m one” onesie, but she won’t be one till August 🙂

  • I became a fan last week when I learned about your site from another preemie mom’s facebook page. My son was born at 27 weeks at 1 lb 15 oz. He spent 76 days in the nicu and is now 6 months old and weighs 12 lb 7 oz!!

I would love to win this to get him a nicu grad shirt to wear to his nicu follow up clinic. I would also love to get a shirt for his wonderful primary nurse to wear. But then again, I love the no really, I’m one shirt too. They are all too cute to decide!!

  • I also shared the link to your blog on my website for my other preemie momma friends out there!!

  • I found your site while looking for other preemie sites. I had twin sons Landon and Logan at 25 weeks 4 days on December 16. We lost our son Logan after 11 days. Landon is still in the NICU and doing well. I would love to win the gift card and get him a NICU grad shirt or the O2 it’s not just old people onesie.

  • Thank you for doing this site. I had my son at 28 weeks on 07/04/2009 at 2 lbs 11 oz and was shocked there was no real resources or websites to see other people who had preemie babies. This was hard for me being a 1st time mom at 21 years old. I just like to thank you for everything you have done to make our family see more and more NICU babies and survivors!!! I will be ordering myself my son my family the Nicu Grad and Proud Preemie parent shirt to wear with pride! Thanks again

  • I have been a fan of It’s a Preemie thing since October. My son is currently 6 months 4 adjusted. He was born 8 weeks early weighing in at 2lbs 7oz at birth. I have enjoyed your facebook fan page….. lets me know I am not alone.

I love the Got Sanitizer shirt! Always passing the germx around!!

    Announced it on twitter…. http://twitter.com/#!/KimberlyRags

  • I’ve been a fan for a while. I found your site when I was looking for info on preemies!!
I love the NICU Grad onsie! My little man is 4 weeks old. He was born on January 12th at 30 weeks. We’re thinking he may be home later this week. I would love this shirt!!

  • Fan for several months. Found when looking for info and support of preemies. My little one was eight weeks early, 4.4 lbs. Now 14 lbs at 9 months. We are so proud of her!!!!

    • At last! Someone who understands! Thanks for poinstg!

  • I’ve been a fan of your FB since you started talking about it on babycenter 🙂

I have a 29weeker, he spent 141 days in the NICU, who is almost 1, and on O2 and with a gtube. I’d love the “O2. . .not just for old people!” and “No really. . .I’m one!”

  • already a fan of IAPT. Found you when I was looking for support while my 25 wkr was in the NICU.
There are a couple of onesies I would love. My faves are NICU grad, I’m older than I look and I earned these rolls.

    • Big help, big help. And supretalive news of course.

  • My son was born at 27 weeks 4 days. I spent 6 weeks in the hospital on strict bedrest. My water broke 12 days before he was born. He was breathing when he was born and proved to be a fighter. He spent 53 days in the NICU. He has been happy and healthy since coming home. I love my fun sized kid!

  • Oh I forgot we have the NICU Grad and I am older than I look onsies and LOVE them. People think they are cute too.

  • My daughter was born at 24 weeks and is now 10 months old. She will be a year on April 3rd, I absolutely love the “No really…I’m One” SOOO CUTE! I especially like the “NICU GRAD” onesie also. Everything is so cute! Those are my two faves though. 🙂 You are doing an amazing job! Thank you!

  • I was already a FB fan. I love several of the onesies you make. I would get the “No, really I’m one”, and “I earned these rolls”. I also love the one that says, “I’m older than I look.” My son was born at 25 weeks so we have had quite a roller coaster ride. Thanks for all that you do for the preemie community!

  • We have been a fan and customer since Carter was in the NICU. He will be one in 4 months, so I am loving the NO REALLY…I AM ONE!

  • i am current in the process of order 2 oneies. do i look fat in this yet and i earned these rolls

  • My fav shirt would have to be, I’m older then I look, I am gonna order that around her 1st bithday.

  • I have to say that I can’t believe how similar our stories are. Our Harrison was born at 29 weeks, two days after Thanksgiving. Last we had the chance to be the 2010 Ambassador Family for the March of Dimes walk in Winona, MN. This year Team Baby Harrison is in full swing for rasing money for the March of Dimes in April. Harrison out grew his team purple team shirt from last year and this year I would love for him to sport the NICU grad onesie for all of his fans behind him as we raise money so that one day, all babies will be born healthy.

I even started a photography business last April with Harrison as my greatest inspiration behind Tiny Miracles and More.

    Thanks!

    • Amanda, so it seems our little boys are one day apart! Spencer was born 27 NOV 09! <3

  • U really want a got sanitizer shirt! lol!!! it’s perfect. I am after everyone about hand washing. Including my rude SIL who told me “actually babies are born with great immune systems” and refused to wash her hands near my preemie (thank GOD she lives in another state!!! can’t stand her!!!!!). I also love the adult it’s a preemie thing shirt. No one understands this until they lived it. I am so fortunate for MY side of the family who understands. I have a 30 weeker cousin, and my aunt was so incredibly supportive and still is. PREEMIES ROCK!

  • I found “It’s a Preemie Thing” by chance! I’m interested in BellaBoo Photography in Wyoming! My little lady was born at 34wk3d because she stopped moving and only took one breath (a single gasp is what they told me when I got to see her) and had to be intubated. She had her cord all tangled up in her lower body (her cord was 6-8′ longer then it was supposed to be. She was 3lb. 13.5oz. and I got to see her for all of 2 minutes before she was life-flighted to a larger hospital 2.5 hours away. Not only did my daughter leave me, my husband did too. But, thank goodness for fabulous friends when all your family is 1400 miles across the country! After 28 days in the NICU, she got to come home, 12 days before her due date and just in time for Thanksgiving! She’s been such a blessing; I can’t imagine my life with out her!

I love the adult t that says “My kid is fun sized” and all of the onesies! I’d have a hard time picking!

  • I have 4 preemies all being born between 31 and 34 weeks my last being born 10 days ago.It all started on 1/28/11 at 33 weeks my water broke and after 8 days on hospital bedrest on 2/4/11 at 1:52pm April Lynn arrived screaming and 7 days later on 2/11/11 at 35 weeks she joined her 4 brothers and 1 sister at home. . I would love to get the NICU grad and the Its a preemie thing onsies the most but there are a ton of others things as well.

  • 1) Fan our FB page at It’s a Preemie Thing and let me know how you found us.
I already fanned It’s a preemie thing, i found you through google while looking for NICU grad onesies!
    2) Tell us a little about your preemie and which of onesies or Parent/NICU Staff shirts you’d like by checking out https://www.itsapreemiething.com/store/

My preemie was delivered at 27wks 4days after i started contracting. They had to deliver her early to prevent another uterine rupture (i had one in 2009 and my daughter was stillborn). They had to deliver my preemie Avery to save her life and my own. I checked out the site and like the NICU grad onesie and the “got sanitizer” onesie.

  • We’re already a fan of It’s A Preemie Thing on FB. We found you by word of mouth from other preemie moms!

    facebook.com/lasallefamily

  • I would LOVE to get the NICU Grad onsies in the 0-3month size for our twin boys! (Green and royal blue)!

Our sweet babies were born 6 weeks early on January 26th. We JUST got them home from the NICU so these onsies would be PERFECT for them!

  • my preemie was born 5/29 she was 5lbs 1 oz. She was so tiny but eager to come home. She lost a little weight in the hospital so we had to “hang out” for a little before coming home. She is still petite but makes my day everyday! I love the I’m older than I look onsie

  • Hi, I’m a fan of your FB page, I originally found you through Twitter. I love the Got Sanitizer onesie and the Older Than I Look onsie, so cute! I have two preemie boys, my oldest is James born at 30ish weeks due to severe pre eclampsia who is now 11 and a half, he’s had more than his share of preemie complications that linger to this day. My youngest is Will who is 7 months and was born at 33 weeks due to a complete placental abruption and severe pre eclampsia.

  • I’m a mama of a 7month old baby girl, born july 2, 2010 weighing 2lbs and spent 4months and 4 days in the NICU! Since then have been to PICU twice! 🙁 Anyhow she’s doing good today and she currently weighs 8lbs :). I LOVE your clothes already have the NICU grad, got sanitizer, o2 its not just for old people!! I’m dying for The “No really I’m one” and “Do I look fat in this yet” Also the Proud parent of a preemie shirt, so I’m here for the 50$ gift card giveaway! Also I tweeted it my tweet name is sweetness555….heres to hoping 🙂

  • I have become a fan of It’s a Preemie thing – my photographer, who captured our adopted little preemie, weighing in at 2 pounds 9 oz, is a fan of yours and has offered a photo shoot for the giveaway (small beginnings photography)! Our little guy is doing great and is a busybody! I would love to win this gift, as I love the “do I look fat in this yet?” and NICU grad onesies!

  • bonus – I shared on my FB page, saying this is a great site for support (and some cute onesies for preemies)

  • I found your page by searching on Facebook for preemie pages. My Samantha was born at 30 weeks, 3.1 lbs. She was in NICU for 6 weeks and I was in the hospital for 2 weeks. She is now 5 months old and now a big 14 lbs. She is still on a apnea/heart monitor, reflux issues and now has too wear shoes while sleeping to adjust her ankle. Even with everything she is doing well and getting better every day.

  • I would LOVE a NICU grad onesie. I think they are just precious!

(I posted this same story on other give away pages, sorry if it’s a duplicate reading to some!)
Hi – I have been a fan of your facebook page for almost 3 months now. I do quite a bit of browsing but very little posting. It has been hard for me to talk about my “preemie” experience with others, as it was very traumatic and I am still trying to make sense of things. What I do know and what I can say is that I have been blessed with a miracle. My precious Zoe Love was born 11.20.10, at 28 weeks and 5 days weighing 2 pounds, 11 ounces. She spent her first week on the vent and oscillator. We were in the NICU a total of 65 long, grueling and heart wrenching days. We’ve seen it all and had all of the scares including a suspected Grade III IVH and a moderate PDA with questionable murmur. But through the power of what we believe is love and prayer all of the initial concerns have miraculously resolved themselves. Our “preemie-donna” is now a healthy 5 pounds, 4 ounces and 8 days old adjusted! The only major continuing concern we have is her reflux. We stayed an extra 10 days in the NICU because of her slow eating habits. She still has trouble with her suck, swallow, breath reflex and is still spitting up at almost every feeding. We have thickened her breast milk with so much rice cereal that her pediatrician and I joke that we are going to be spoon feeding her soon! I would love an opportunity to participate in all of your giveaways and have entered as many as possible.
I know I have not done my Love’s preemie story justice in this short synopsis. It’s hard for me to think back on my days on bed rest in the hospital and her labor and delivery without my eyes and heart swelling in sadness. One day I hope that I am as strong as she is and will be able to share her story with the world.

  • love the shirts! it would be cool to have an ‘im older than I look’ or a ‘no really.. I’m ONE!’ onsie or even a parent sized ‘proud preemie parent’ tee to wear to our annual NICU reunion (mothers day weekend), I could even do some advertising for you if you’re interested!

  • I’ve been a fan on facebook for a long time. We had a 30 weeker in March 2009 because of pre-eclampsia and HELLP syndrome. I wish you had had these onesies out when he was small 🙂 I love the Toddler shirt that says “I’m older than I look”. We’ve also been wanting to get him a NICU grad shirt for a while and my husband and I love the adult shirts that say, “My kid is fun sized”.

  • Awww the shirts are great! I look at your site all the time and can’t wait to get some of these for our daughter when she finally comes home from the NICU (36 days in,….hoping for less than 100 to go!)

  • Love your website and products. My Son was born at 32weeks due to pre-e. Would love to get the “Im old than i look”, “got sanitizer”…. Can’t wait to order soon!

  • My kid is fun sized, that is to funny.

I liked its a preemie thing, found it when we had out preemie and needed some support and info, I seen some of the work that Amaryllis has done and its really different I would love to work with her so it would be nice to win that package.

My daughter was 5lbs when she left the hospital she was so small I was so worried about everything, she is daddys girl and always will be.

    • well the copy and paste did not work like I thought.

      how it should read

Shirt I would buy-My kid is fun sized, that is to funny.

I liked its a preemie thing, found it when we had out preemie and needed some support and info,

My daughter was 5lbs when she left the hospital she was so small I was so worried about everything, she is daddys girl and always will be.

  • I have bought several shirts, two for my preemie, one for his NICU primary and one for me. I can’t wait to get mine in, I was so excited when I got the email saying the shirts were shipped. I still haven’t got a NICU Grad shirt and would love for Luke to have one.

  • I found you on facebook when I was looking for preemie stuff and just support. I love your page. My Son Ethan was born Dec. 4, 2010 at 28 weeks. He weight was 2 pds 5 oz. And after many weeks in the NICU we are going home tomorrow. HE is coming home on Oxygen Support but is ok with me. I am ready to have him home. He is doing great with everything by my lil guy just likes is oxygen. We tried many times to take him off and after this last time I told the Docs if it was ok with them to just let him come home. And They said ok.

  • I’m already a fan on FB!!

  • my preemie was a 31 weeks 5 days boy who weighed in at 3 lbs 6.8oz. I had PROM, Pre-E and HELLP. He is now a healthy, vibrant and VERY active 19 month old! 🙂 I love your NICU Grad onesie!

  • Love the blog, love the store. So cute!!! Kelsie was born 1/29/11 at 28w6d. She is still in the nursery as a feeder/grower and doing fabulously! I couldn’t possibly pick a saying that I like as they are all so true and so funny 🙂 Anything that fits our little peanut is a plus!

  • My Liam will be one before we know it (in May). I have been giving a lot of thought about his first birthday. He will really only be 9 months, I’m wondering if it should be low key to keep germs away (CLD) but threw a huge one for our older son and don’t want to treat him differently. Then there is the cake and the debate whether or not he would be ready for his “taste cake” lol. The “No really I’m one would be more than perfect!!!”

  • A friend of mine directed me to you. I love everything you have. My daughter was born at 29 weeks weighing 2 lbs 9 oz. Before her I had a 36 weeker. Haley spent 5 weeks in the NICU. They always said she was on the fast train out of there. I love the short you have that says I’m older than I look. Haley is now 2 1/2 but people often don’t believe me until they get to know her and hear her talking. She actually talks more like a 3-4 year old as she has learned a lot from our 5 year old son. It is so true what you said no matter how long you spent in the NICU as a NICU grad parent there is a special connection. Thanks for all you do with this site!

  • I’ve been a fan of It’s a Preemie Thing on fb for a while now! I heard about it through BBC and Julie Spencer Howard! My daughter Addison was born on Nov. 11th 2009 at 31 weeks due to pre-eclampsia, HELLP and IUGR. She was the size of a 28-29 weeker at 2 lbs 12 oz and 14.5 inches long. She is now a happy, healthy 15 month old!
I love the “no really, I’m one!”, NICU Grad, and “i’m older than i look” onesies. Addison wears 12 mos!

  • Extra entry – I linked to this contest on my fb page – http://www.facebook.com/jrae120380

  • Heee! I’ve already detailed my family on another giveaway. BUT, I LOVE the It’s A Preemie Thing shirts. My kids are (mostly) out of 2Ts (yes, they are 4!).

I’d also love a shirt that said “I can handle any crisis. I have a preemie” if you were ever designing more.

  • The onsie that I would love to get Addyson is “I am older then I look” There have been times…more then I can count that people think I am lying about her age. Or they look at me with strange looks when she is walking around and is the size of a 6 month old.

I can remember when she was 6 months old…she weighed about 7 pounds and she was holding her bottle. An older lady came up to me and says “Wow your baby is a mircale she is so young and can already hold her bottle.” I answered “Yep she is a mircale baby but she is 6 months old” The lady looked confused and said “But she is the size of a newborn”

My daughter has been a mircale. My pregnacy with her started off just like my first one. Perfect. Being sick all the time and feeling the normal pregancy signs.

At 17 weeks everything started going down hill…preterm labor set in and they gave me steriod shots but could not take the meds to stop contractions because it would drop my blood pressure down to dangerous levels.

From 17 weeks until 34 weeks I was in and out of the hospital and on bedrest. At 33 weeks I went into the ER and told them my water broke. The ER doctor felt my stomach and told me it did not break and they sent me home.

At 34 weeks I went in for my regular apt and the doctor measured my stomach. I was only measuring 20 weeks. She asked if I felt any different and I told her last week I was in…told the ER doctor about my water and they sent me home. She immedietly sent me down for a U/S and it showed that I had no water to measure and Addyson was weighing about 7lbs 3oz. They sent me up to the doctor again and she was waiting in the waiting room. She sent me right now for an emergancy induction.

2 hours later Miss Addyson entered the world weighing only 3lbs 4oz and only 15inchs long. It was a complete dry birth and Addyson was not doing well. She spent 1 day in the ICU and somehow recovered from everything. She passed all her tests and they sent her home with me when I went home. Somehow my little peanut was a fighter and she beat all the odds the doctors had for her.

Now 18 months later we see 5 specialist once a month and are fighting to keep her weight on. She has had 4 surgeries for different things and has come out of every single one still a fighter! My baby girl is amazing and I am so glad I found this blog to share all about her!

  • At almost 8wks old now, my 34wkr is packing on the pounds, over 7lbs and 8oz last weighing. @beansprts tweeted http://bit.ly/erKbg8. Back to bed for both of us.

  • Bonus entry! I tweeted about the giveaway! @apreemiething is having a giveaway for a $50 g.c. from her site! You must be a preemie family to win.

  • Tweeted about giveaway!

  • I am the mom of identical twin TTTS survivors Nicole and Gabriella- they were born at 28 weeks and are doing great now- they are my miracles! They spent 64 and 74 days in NICU- “Love the I am bigger than I look” onesie – it’s so cute

  • I am interested in the NICU Grad, I am older than I look, and proud preemie parent. I am a proud mother of a little girl that was born at 28 weeks weighing 1 pound 12 ounces. She was fine at birth other than being on c-pap. We found out 1 week after birth that she needed surgery on her small intestines. She had a complete blockage because a part of her small intestine was twisted. She had to wear an ostomy bag for 3 months while she grew. About 10 days before we were discharged she had a second surgery to reconnect her small intestine. We left the NICU after 3 months happy and healthy. She weighed in at 5 pounds 7 ounces at discharge and she is now just about 12 pounds at 7 1/2 months old. She is my little miracle baby.

  • Just realized I should probably comment on this if I want to win haha 🙂
Fiona was born at 30 weeks 3 days and was 3 lbs 3 oz and 16 in. She was born with a whole laundry list of issues, but is now 15 months and doing great. Still dealing with most of the issues, but we are lucky to have her here!

I love the “I’m older than I look” onesie and the “Proud Preemie Parent” shirt!

  • It’s a Preemie Thing still has some giveaways going on! I just entered another one for a $50 gift card from them!

This is what I wrote on my FB status!

  • Been a fan for a while now!

My twins were born @ 24.6weeks. Our daughter is an angel now but our son Finn (1lb 12 oz) is doing well after 111 days in the NICU. He is 7mo, almost 4 adjusted and doing pretty well so far. I would love the I am older than I look onsie…it cracks me up!
Love the website and FB page.

  • I found you through another preemie mom on facebook. My lil guy was a 32.6 week preemie and now is 3 months old! I didn’t know a site like this existed… now that I do, i will for sure be spreading the word out. Awesome job 🙂 I think my preemie boy would look super cute in 0-3 months, royal blue, long onesie “Im older than I look” because he doesn’t look like he is 3 months whatsoever !! He’s still very tiny but so cute.

  • I just found this blog from a friend through Facebook. My little miracle was born February 14, 2008 at 24 weeks tipping the scales at 1 lb. 6 oz. She was discharged from the hospital on June 22, 2008, 20 days after her due date. We had all the preemie ups and downs in the hospital: PDA ligation at 3 weeks of age, several suspected episodes of NEC, CLD, and ROP. She had four surgeries for her ROP but progressed rapidly to Stage V with detachment in both eyes and is legally blind. She just celebrated her third birthday on Valentine’s Day and is today a typical three year old, right down to the attitude!!!

I think she would look great in any type of onsie, like the NICU grad. one.

  • Our baby girl was born at 28 weeks and 1 day. She was 2 pounds 5 ounces and 14 3/4″ long. She is now 7 months (4 months adjusted) and 14 pounds and 25 inches. Her lowest weight was 1 pound 14 ounces. She is a happy little baby and all smiles and laughs these days! Our little miracle baby! I like the onesies that say I am older than I look, I earned these rolls, No really..I am one and proud preemie parent t-shirt.

  • My daughter was born at 26 weeks weighing 1lb 12ozs. When she was a week old, she stopped responding to treatments and we were told she may not survive. Abigail is now 5 months, 2 months adjusted and is a healthy 9 1/2 pounder. I would love either ” I earned these rolls”, cuz Lord knows she earned them or “got sanitizer?”

  • just tweeted “It’s a Preemie Thing $50 Gift Certificate : http://blog.itsapreemiething.com/2011/02/its-a-preemie-thing-50-gift-certificate/

  • My baby boy was 4lbs, 13 oz and was born at 36 weeks and was in the NICUs at 2 different hospitals for 16 days. Since my boy is bigger than size 2, I would be interested in the proud parent shirts

  • I’ve been a fan for a little while :). My Antonia was born at 32 weeks and 4 lbs 2oz and is now a lovely and healthy 9 1/2 month old at 18.5 lbs. I absolutely love both the “It’s a Preemie thing” onesie AND “I earned these rolls” I hadn’t seen that last time I looked and I love, love it as Anni is finally getting those beautiful chubby rolls on her :).

  • fanned you on facebook! i remember you commented on my post in the preemie group on babycenter and have been following you ever since! 🙂

My DD was born 31.5 weeks at 4lbs 7 oz. She’s now a healthy almost 10 month old at 16 lbs! I would love for her to wear It’s a Preemie Thing onesie 🙂

  • Since my son was a born (almost 5 mths ago), ive been a fan. He was a 23 weeker, and came home a week ago!! He was 1 lbs 9oz, and is now 7 lbs 11oz. And only came home on a monitor, actigal, iron, and multivitamin. Our baby miracle would look great in NICU GRAD. Thank you for everything you do.

  • I absolutely love the NICU Graduate onesie. I would have my son wear it to the NICU picnic! Our road to having a family was not easy. My husband and I lost our first baby, which was a girl to a placental abruption when I was 31 weeks pregnant. We waited one year to heal and then came our miracle. I delivered a preemie boy, Drew, on August 10, 2010. I had an emergency c-section due to severe preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome. At birth Drew weighed 2 pounds 14 ounces and was 15.5 inches long. After Drew was delivered, he was taken right away to the NICU and I never got a chance to spend time with him. As days past, my conditioned worsened and I was moved to ICU and was unable to visit Drew. I count my blessings everyday to be alive and being able to love my son.Three days later, I finally was able to visit the NICU and hold him for a few minutes. Drew continued to prove everyone wrong and do well. He has been home for four month now and continues to amaze us with his progress. We feel so blessed to be a family.

  • I am a fb fan, I happen to find your fb page through Classic Blue photography. My little girl, Calista Mae, was born at 34 weeks last July due to an incompetent cervix at 5lbs 6oz and 18.5 inches long. She stayed in the NICU for 2 1/2 weeks for breathing and eating issues. Today she is 7 months old and such a sweet and happy baby.

I love the I’m older than I look onesie 🙂

  • Hello! Already been a fan on facebook for awhile, kaylee is my daughter born at 24 weeks and weighed 1.6 pounds. She has had many problems on the nicu but is getting better day by day. Bought a im older then i look shirt but i would love to get the O2 its not only for old people! i love it!

  • I found you guys while looking for humerous preemie clothes. My preemie was 5 weeks early. He looked like a giant compared to most of the other babies at 6-9, but was a very sick little boy. After having his lungs surfed 3 times, respirator in, out, and back in and out again he slowly got better. He came home 3 days before Christmas, and is the best Christmas present we could have ever asked for!

  • I am a mother of twins from Missouri born at 24 weeks. I would love the A/B design! So cute, and so funny that they were called by A’s and B’s for so long!

  • Found you through BBC and love your site and clothing (you know that already though); next purchase will be another it’s a preemie thing shirt for kyan or Nicu grad shirt 🙂

  • Hi,
I’m a mom of two NICU grads the first (2007) born at 26wks and we spent 76 days in the hospital and my second (2010) born at 25 wks spent 92 days there and just got out on Valentine’s Day. I would LOVE to have a 12 month onesie that says I look older then I look. These outfits are too funny.

  • Hi again, I have also entered the photography contest and would love some shirts. I found you through the Inspire preemie site and already like your page. I am interested in the nicu grad onesie and the proud preemie parent shirt. As you know my son was born at 27w 6d weighing 2lbs 6oz and he is 14 months and tips the scales at 22 lbs. Thank you for this opportunity!

  • Fan of yours on Facebook – my wife made me do it 😉 Our son was born at 34 weeks just before the new year, and is now pushing 8 lbs- woohoo! I think he’d look pretty awesome in a NICU grad shirt.

  • * Liked both FB pages!
    * Posted on my blog and shared on FB!
    * My preemie is 8 month old Aiden. He was born 12 weeks early due to placental abrubtion. He spent 2 months in the NICU. He was also born with a cleft lip and palate. He had a partial nose/ lip repair this past November. His next surgery is scheduled for May, with another following in the Fall of this year! My litle man has been through so much and still has a LONG road ahead of him. But he is a trooper and mommy’s little hero!!

  • I found your website through the Preemie Parenting on Babycenter.
Our preemie, Cohen, was born at 30w1d due to PreE, IUGR, and AEDF and weighed 2lbs 9oz and was 14.5 inches. He is now almost 8 months old (tomorrow) and is weighing in at 15lbs 3.2oz and 26″! That’s a LOT of growing in 8 months! We think he’d look ADORABLE in the “I’m older than I look” onesie!

  • Am a fan on FB. I have identical twin girls who were preemies, born at 32 weeks. They are both now 8 months old, and are doing great.
I would LOVE to win this for them. I love to dress them up in the cutest girly outfits and accessories. 🙂

  • I have already ordered a NICU grad onesie, but would love one in newborn size. As well as the Got Sanitizer or I’m older than I look! 🙂

  • Hi there…my little Miracle was a 23 weeker that weighed 14 oz. at birth. He is a surviving twin as well. We have had our ups and downs but I will say my son is my hero. We spent 170 days in 3 NICU’s and he has endured 9 surgeries thus far. He is now 17 months old (13 adjusted) and he weighs a whopping 21 lbs 3 oz.! He has been on O2 all of his life. He does have numerous other issues as well…a paralyzed vocal cord, pulmonary hypertension, fed by a g-tube and is way behind on milestones…BUT he is meeting them in his timeline. We always wear funny shirts due to the stares and comments we get. I would love to win your “O2…it’s not just for old people” t-shirt. It is always fun to put him in funny shirts! Thank you again for offering such great products and the wonderful giveaways. We love It’s A Preemie Thing!

  • My water broke at 18 weeks and my miracle girl came 5.5 weeks later at 23 weeks and 5 days. My Eliahna (which means God has answered) weighed 1 pound 3.7 ounces. We spent 117 days in the NICU and then another 15 days in CHOP in Philadelphia. She had PDA surgery when she was under 3 pounds (and even before I held her) and had laser eye surgery while still in the NICU. It was a full month before I was able to hold my miracle girl. She came home on oxygen but is almost completely weaned off. She also had to have a g-tube put in due to major reflux issues.
They told me to prepare for a miscarriage when my water broke….she will turn 1 on April 18th!
By the way….the little princess at the top in the NICU Grad onesie is my little miracle!!!!

  • You have so many cute preemie shirts and onsies! Some of my faves are “I am older than I look” since our son is going to be 4 months old in about a week but he looks only 6 weeks old (his adjusted age!). When strangers ask I just say he is 6 weeks so I dont have to go through explaining! But that shirt would suit him well 🙂 Also a big fan of the “I earned these rolls” tee since he is FINALLY getting some chubby thighs! Both of his sisters looked like little marshmellow men when they were born (both nearly 8 1/2 lbs) so he def has some catching up to do!!! Oh and the “got sanitizer” since we are still very careful about ‘germs’…. I can go on and on!

  • I don’t remember how i found you exactly, I think I was just typing in “preemie” on Facebook one day and voila! You popped up. I really had no friends with preemie so I was trying to connect with other moms via social media. I had pre-e w/my term daughter, and then pre-e & HELLP with my son, who I delivered at 29w5d last March. He was due May 28th but was born on March 17th – funny enough, he was already going to have an Irish name, so it fits – I love that he was born on St. Patty’s Day 🙂 He is my little lucky charm and he has completely changed my life, both as my sweet, easygoing son and also through our experience together in the NICU and the experience having him early – his early arrival has sparked a complete health overhaul in my life as well as a desire to be a lactation consultant and a postpartum doula because of the complete and utter lack of support for preemie families in my area, and I am also very passionate about helping other moms breastfeed their preemies. Without a premature baby, who knows if I would be headed on this path – but, I am! This year I’m taking trainings to a CLC, postpartum doula and even a training on how to facilitate leading a group that supports new moms/families – I’ll be starting my own preemie support group in MN! Hopefully I can advertise your awesome products in the future 😀

Okay, well, that’s certainly enough, ha! I love your business, FB page & all these giveaways, so THANK YOU for being there!

  • Ella was born at 32 weeks on September 11, 2010 because I got severe preeclampsia. She was never on oxygen and is a real fighter even now at 5 1/2 months (3 1/2 adjusted). She was only in the NICU for 30 days thank goodness, not only because it was a strain on us but because the NICU she was in was not well organized. I would love the NICU Grad onsie for Ella and the Proud Preemie Parent for my husband and I to show off!

  • I have been a fan on your facebook page through a link on a mutual friend for about 3 months now. I have been trying to find somewhere that had Preemies to relate too. My Son was born at 28 week 4 days through emergency c section weighing in at 2 lb 11 oz. Spend 8 weeks in the NICU. He had bowel movement problems had to have daily enemas and refused to latch on. I have learned to be a patient mother and person now. I never could say that before. I had never known anyone to have a preemie and was scared for his health. He is just 1 week shy of 20 months today and weighs in at 26 lbs 9 oz and 32 inches long he should only be 17 months. I would love a ” I earned these rolls and a proud preemie parent shirts. I want everyone to know he was a preemie and what he has been through and how strong of a person he is because he is what gives me the strength to keep going everyday and go to work and help other people. Thank you for what you do in helping people connect to other preemie moms across the US and beyond!

  • tweeted the giveaway, i’m @brittanysusan

  • I already liked It’s a Preemie Thing on Facebook. I love this site!
I have four beautiful children, three were preemies, one was born at exactly 37 weeks.
My last preemie was born on Feb second 10 minutes shy of 34 weeks due to PPROM (all of my preemies were due to PPROM). He was set to come home last Sunday but Saturday night started going downhill fast. He has RSV. He will be there at least another week.
My other preemies were 33 and 31 weekers. My 33 weeker came home after 3 weeks at exactly 36 weeks. She did great. The only thing she needed was to eat and grow. She even held her own temp well from the beginning. My 31 weeker had some struggles but also did very well. He was there for 6 weeks and he was 37 and 3 when he came home. It’s been a long journey to get my babies here and home but we are so very blessed.
I found you through a friend who posted one of your contests online.

  • I was already a fan – and found you just by searching “preemie” on FB. I would love to win the boy nicu grad onsie! My water broke at just 23 weeks and I’ve been in the hospital since….53 days and counting! My baby will be delivered at 34 weeks (if I can make it that long). It’s been a long road – but I’m just thankful that I’ve been able to remain pregnant for this long. Thanks!

  • I am friends with you on facebook.

I just ordered two shirts but would like to order more.

My preemie was born at 32 weeks and is 17 months old. She was born early due to pre-e and HELLP. Her latest accomplishment is counting to five and cheering on her cousin’s basketball team by saying “Get the ball back.” I’m blessed to have her!
I love all of your items. I would like to get anther proud preemie parent shirt and It’s a Preemie Thing shirt. Thanks for what you do!

  • I love “I’m Older than I look” & “It’s a Preemie thing” I think that they categorize preemie in to very clear statements Elias was born at 25weeks I would love for him to be able to show of those sayings. I believe it would make people not only stop giving us weird looks when I tell them he is 18months old but I also believe it creates an avenue for awareness. Also they are adorable & there is no way I could afford them on my own.

  • Thank you for all those that entered, this giveaway is now closed!!
